Privacy notice

Last updated 14 October 2026

Cartesian Tuition is a family-run online tuition practice based in Manchester. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

We collect only what we need, and only when you give it to us.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not run third-party analytics profiling on this site, and we do not use cookies to follow you between websites.

Children’s data

Most of what we hold about a child is minimal: a first name, a year group and assessment results. We collect it from the parent or carer, not from the child, and we use it only to plan and deliver tutoring. We do not market to children, and we never publish anything from our own records that could identify a child: case studies on this site are described without names. Reviews that families or students publish themselves, for example on Trustpilot, may be quoted on this site exactly as written.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It is handled by the family members who run the practice, and by the services we use to run it:

Cookies

This site does not set any cookies and does not load any advertising or analytics tags.

When you book an assessment, our booking tool, Cal.com, opens on this page. It loads only when you click a booking button, and it has its own cookie policy. The Trustpilot reviews panel on some pages loads from Trustpilot, whose own cookie policy covers anything it sets.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Email us and we will action it. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Contact
